In a month where lots of people seem to be making major transitions, I am so happy to congratulate Michael Stephens for his appointment to a tenure-track teaching position at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Dominican University!!! I’m happy not only for Michael but for the students who will benefit from his experience and contagious enthusiasm. What a great place Dominican must be to have hired someone like Michael who is certainly not like any of the professors I had in library school. In the entire time I was in library school, I don’t remember any of my professors really expressing any passion for librarianship or inspiring any passion for librarianship. I had to find that in the blogosphere.
