“New ideas are fine, but they are also illegal, because they are a form of ageism… We’ve learned that you can’t teach a dog new tricks, because it’s illegal and you will go to jail.”
-Michael Scott, The Office
You can read a great analysis of generational issues and technology adoption through the lens of this The Office episode at Lauren Pressley’s blog. It resonated with me too, Lauren.

Me, too! All through the episode, I was yelling, “It’s The Office 2.0!” I bet Ryan’s technobabble is very much what I sound like to some people.

I heart that show so bad. Also, I just went back to my local library after five years’ absence. I think I owe them $11, but they don’t remember.
Just a non-library perspective on the issue.

I had a hard time forgiving the show after Michael hit the character with my name with his car, but this episode made up for it for sure.
Glad you made it back to your library, Katie.
