		<description>Thanks for sharing your experience as an embedded librarian.  I&#039;m the first one at our university, but it&#039;s in a course that actually meets f2f and the WebCT/Blackboard portion of it is only used by the instructor for the students to submit assignments.  

Also thanks for sharing the link to your course and subject guides.  My son is taking a historical methods class (at another university) and I will share some of those with him.</description>

Almost everybody I know in the profession cites the opportunity to learn new things regularly as a main reason for becoming a librarian, so it&#039;s hardly surprising we should want to move on if our role gets to be too much of the same old, same old. Really good managers know this, and allow us to stretch ourselves as much as possible. Exceptional managers, like my old boss at DrugScope, Christine, look out for ways to challenge and develope each of their staff (without overburdening them). Well done on creating and siezing new opportunities for yourself and for encouraging the rest of us to do so!
