The most reward truly does come from the hardest things and the things we fear to do the most. But like that one quote says, nothing worth achieving was ever easy. (okay I feel way off on that quote…but I think you get what I’m getting at).

Meredith, I particularly like your point about learning from things that scare you. I think that is actually essential. Without overcoming fear, many people never advance with their lives and careers. Thanks for the reflections.

Meredith, started reading your blog when I was writing a paper for my library internship. I am 47, and just finishing my BA which has been sitting for 20+ years. I am planning on applying to graduate school in the next year or so. Your comments about finding what is right for you and attempting things that scare you are a real inspiration. Thank you for your insight. My son is 8, so still dealing with the work/home/husband/personal-growth time-sharing.

Thank you for sharing this. I can’t say what it is about your writing that always reaches out and grabs me, entertains me, and makes me think, but you sure have *something* so thanks for trusting it and being yourself. The results speak for themselves. You rock

I’ve been reading your blog since 2005. I have a child of my own now and haven’t been able to keep-up with reading blogs or blogging posts myself as much as I would wish. They are things I’ve been learning and coming to terms with too and reading them makes me feel a little less alone in the library blog world.
