Each snowflake will be auctioned off (<a href=\"http:\/\/search.ebay.com\/_W0QQgotopageZ1QQsassZbeaucoupQ2dorangeQQsorecordsperpageZ50QQsosortorderZ1QQsosortpropertyZ1or\">on Ebay<\/a>) to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  I&#8217;m sure some of the illustrators will be familiar to many of you, and their work represents the variety of styles of children&#8217;s book illustrations.  My favorite snowflakes are by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertssnow.com\/view.php?artist_id=203\">Loren Long<\/a>,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertssnow.com\/view.php?artist_id=349\">Eric Rohmann<\/a> (the author and illustrator of <em>My Friend Rabbit<\/em> &#8212; one of my faves),  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertssnow.com\/view.php?artist_id=238\">Elizabeth Sayles<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertssnow.com\/view.php?artist_id=249\">Phoebe Stone<\/a>, though they&#8217;re all quite wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a way to give to charity this season or want to buy a really special gift for a little kid (or yourself), I think this is a fantastic way to spend your money.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just found this lovely site with snowflakes created by children&#8217;s book illustrators.
