I know less than nothing about Washington D.C. and even less about the Computers in Libraries conference. And I bet I’m not the only one. I do know that there are a whole bunch of folks who probably know a lot about both topics, so I thought it would be nice to have a place to collect all of that information. To that end, I’ve created the unofficial wiki for the 2006 Computers in Libraries Conference. I did a Google search and it looks like there isn’t one in existence yet, but if there is, feel free to ignore this. I just wanted to have a space where we could create a list of bloggers (and non-bloggers!) coming to the conference, share information about D.C. and set-up some meetings for while we’re there.

Feel free to add any information, categories, whatever to the wiki. To edit the wiki, you’re going to need to enter the password cil2006. For information about formatting, check out the wiki style page.

I chose PBwiki since it’s free and is effortless to set-up. It’s a great tool for any collaborative task if you don’t want to pay for a wiki or set one up on your server. I would definitely recommend it for newbies or anyone who wants a simple wiki. For more information, check out the PBwiki tour!
