Rachel's new book! YAY!
The NextGen Librarian’s Survival Guide by Rachel Singer Gordon

If you’re a nextgen librarian, a new librarian, or someone who now or may one day be supervising nextgen librarians, you should run and order this book right now. I just got it in the mail last night and after looking at the Table of Contents, I know it is going to rock my world.

Rachel is totally what I want to be when I grow up.

    But thanks and I do hope that you enjoy the rest of the book — it was a lot of fun to write! And I’d love to see you (or any other friendly faces) stop by my book signing at CIL in a couple of weeks — at the ITI booth at 2:30-3:15 on Th. the 23rd.

    Rachel, will books be available for purchase at CiL, or do we need to order in advance (i.e. NOW NOW NOW)?

    Dorothea – I’d wait until CIL, b/c they’ll be selling copies at a 20% discount at the ITI booth. (I’m unclear whether that’s good for the whole conf. or just during the book signing, however.) Also, since the official release date is the first day of CIL, I don’t know that copies ordered now would arrive before then.
