So I left Florida to get away from the hurricanes…
… but Hurricane Wilma was nice enough to make a little visit to Vermont.
We got about 16 inches of snow!!! IN OCTOBER!!! (Jessamyn, you are so lucky to be in California right now!) Our power was out for about 17 hours, which is really bad when you have electric heat like we do. I’ve got the heat so high in the house now, it’s like a sauna. Ahhh….
This Nor’easter just makes me all the more bummed that I didn’t get out to Internet Librarian this year. However, the amazing blog coverage (and Paul’s wonderful sea lion recordings) has made me almost feel like I’m there. Sounds like it’s been an amazing conference and I look forward to hearing about all the brilliant ideas that will come from the dialogue. I will definitely be going to Computers in Libraries in March and will probably get out to Monterey next year.
Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately, but I’ve got something very exciting in the works and it’s been taking up a lot of my time and energy. I promise to spill the beans when the time is right. 🙂
16? Holy cow. We didn’t get any measurable snow. Slush last night, some light flurries this morning. Weird. Glad to hear the power is back.
Ahh, my turn to pity you, Meredith! 🙂
My 11 year old Nordic princess would be so envious of you. She’s a big fan of cold miserable weather and the bane of her existence is that we don’t live in Minnesota or someplace that gets multiple feet of snow each year. I know where to send her as an exchange student, now….–rochelle
wow, you guys got serious snow! we don’t have any on the ground here, but I saw it at the higher elevations coming home. I came home to the news that Ola is likely going to put thge house on the market, so we may be looking for a place to spend the last four or five months of Greg’s school before looking for a place of our own. I’ll keep you posted. See you at the blog meetup next weekend?
texas hold’em Nice 🙂 Agree 🙂
